The festive spirit was in full swing as Kajol, along with daughter Nysa Devgan, sister Tanisha Mukerji, and an array of family and celebrity friends, participated in the traditional Sindoor Khela ritual at the iconic North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja. The pandal, which has been synonymous with the Mukerji family's annual Durga Puja celebrations for decades, saw an emotional and colorful culmination on Vijayadashami.

Clad in a classic red-and-white saree, Kajol looked radiant as she offered prayers and joined in the age-old ritual of applying sindoor (vermillion) to Goddess Durga before Her symbolic farewell. The tradition then saw the women smear sindoor on one another—a moment of solidarity, celebration, and sisterhood. Nysa, too, took part in the rituals, making it a beautiful generational celebration.

Among those seen embracing the spirit of the ritual were Rituparna Sengupta, Sumona Chakraborti, Khushi Dubey, and Anu Aggarwal. A warm visual moment captured Kajol and Rituparna playfully applying sindoor to each other, smiling through the emotions of the festival’s final day. Kajol also posed for happy family pictures with Nysa and Tanisha, with the joy and nostalgia of the moment clearly visible.

Interestingly, Rani Mukerji, who has traditionally been a regular at the puja from Day 1, was absent from this year’s Vijayadashami celebrations. However, the family’s devotion never wavered, having celebrated every day of the festival with immense energy and dedication.

Earlier this week, Ajay Devgn was also spotted at the pandal, joining wife Kajol and daughter Nysa in full festive flair. Dressed in a green kurta, he posed for a rare family photo alongside Kajol, Tanisha, brother-in-law Ayan Mukerji, and nephews Danish and Aaman Devgan.

The pandal was star-studded as always, with appearances by Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Genelia Deshmukh, Twinkle Khanna, Anurag Basu, and Bipasha Basu, all stopping by to offer prayers and soak in the cultural fervor.

With sindoor, smiles, and shared traditions, the Mukerjis once again reminded us why Durga Puja is more than just a festival—it's a feeling.
